Alexander Avdeenko is a writer who appearedto the light in 1908 in the village. Now it is the Ukrainian city of Makeevka of the Donetsk region. Comes from the family of a working miner. As a child, the future writer was a homeless child. Later he worked in mines in the Donbass. He worked in Makeyevka at a plant called "Union". Later he went to Magnitogorsk. Our hero lived in Moscow. He was a student at the Literary Institute. Worked in the editorial office of the newspaper Pravda. A new novel called "Capital" was criticized by Gorky. In 1936, at the suggestion of S. Ordzhonikidze, he went to the Donbass. Lived in Makeyevka. He worked on the creation of a new novel about miners called "The State Is Me". The book was completed in 1938, but it was never published.

Our hero was elected a deputy of the All-UkrainianCongress of Soviets. Later his post changed. He became a deputy of the city council of Makeyevka. In 1939, as a special correspondent of Pravda, he traveled to the territory of the annexed Western Ukraine. In 1940, according to the script of our hero, the picture "The Law of Life" was filmed. This tape was subjected to crushing criticism, coming from the party press. The reason was called slander against student Soviet youth. After the meeting of the Central Committee of the CPSU (B), our hero was expelled from the Writers' Union and the Party, and also fired from the newspaper Pravda. The Central Committee secretaries Joseph Stalin and Andrei Zhdanov, as well as writers Alexander Fadeyev, Nikolai Pogodin and Nikolai Aseev, voiced critical criticism of the author.

After the exceptions, he began working again at the mineassistant driver. In 1941, according to the writer's recollections, he was not taken to the front as a volunteer. He was listed in the political composition, and the demotion of our hero to the rank and file took several months. The lieutenant left the mortar school. In the active army came only in 1942.

After that, he managed to write many books, but he never got rid of the pain that unfair punishment brought him, although he believed in the ideas of socialism. He trusted Stalin as much as he did until the whole truth about the actions of the commander-in-chief became known to him.

The writer's son recalls that one day, afterheart attack, his father began to talk about Stalin. Then he asked the writer to think about himself. To which our hero replied that he could not let go of Stalin. From 1942 to 1945, the author of the books was at the front, having received the post of military correspondent of the newspaper under the title "For the Fatherland", which came out in 131 divisions. Then he began to work in the publication "Son of the Motherland".
